About the Gym
Nexus is a modern academy in Sant Joan d'Alacant founded in 2023, led on the grappling side by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champions Darragh O'Conaill and Gabriela Fechter. Muay Thai runs as a genuine program under coach Jonathan Rodrigues, who is from Rio de Janeiro, trained and competed in Thailand and won a national title at the World Championships in Bangkok.
Reviewers consistently praise the world-class coaching, the spotless facilities and a welcoming, family atmosphere, with classes for kids and adults taught in both Spanish and English. BJJ is the heart of the academy, but the Muay Thai coaching is the real thing.
