Keep On Pushing Muay Thai
Glasgow

Keep On Pushing (KOP) is the gym Glasgow beginners keep ending up at. Everyone starts with a mandatory foundation course that covers stance, footwork and all eight weapons before moving into the mixed level classes, and the coaching stays close and personal rather than lost in a crowd. Many reviewers are people who had never done a martial art and were nervous about walking in.

About the Gym

Kru Pete leads the gym with coach Nathan, and the pair get consistent praise for patient, technical teaching and for noticing individuals in a group. KOP follows the Kru Muay Thai Association curriculum, teaches Muay Boran alongside modern Muay Thai, and is listed as the World Muay Thai Organisation representative for Scotland. There is a women's only class, separate kids classes, strength and conditioning sessions built around Muay Thai, and a sauna and ice bath for recovery. Sparring and clinching come in at the mixed level stage, not in the foundation course. Reviewers describe the gym as clean and the community as unusually supportive, and several women mention feeling safe here in a way they have not at other fight gyms.
