About the Gym
The senior trainer roster is unusually broad: Eugene Soon (10+ years experience), Wilson Lau (10 years training, 7 fights, manages the fight team), Daniel (10+ years experience, defensive technique specialist), Murugan (longstanding fighter and trainer), Kenzo 'Kai' (known for technical sparring), Toey (patient authentic Thai-style instruction), Eric (youngest trainer, focused on power), Yihui, Garrett, Cheng Rong, Benedict, Sean Lua (started Muay Thai at 14), and Hariz. Wilson Lau has trained numerous fighters to compete locally and internationally in amateur and professional categories.
An honest note about the profile: a small minority of reviews describe arrogance or lack of structure in some trial-week classes, contrasted with the generally strong positive sentiment from long-term members. For potential trainees, this suggests asking specifically about which coach leads which class before committing. With 28 years of institutional history and a notably broad coaching roster, Hilltop is a credible long-term choice for serious Muay Thai development. The Serangoon Road location (Level 3) is accessible from Farrer Park or Boon Keng MRT.
