About the Gym
K-Star Sheldon opened in 2012 within one of the most established Muay Thai networks in Birmingham, dating back to 1989. Chief instructor Adrian Maguire trained with K-Star from age 14 and holds multiple titles, including IKF English and British belts. Instructors are praised for teaching to your level — there's no assumption everyone wants to fight — and a grading system tracks progress for those who want it.
Membership runs around £60/month and is tied to the grading structure, so it's worth visiting in person to see the facility and check the membership terms before committing. A free trial class is available.
