About the Gym
The Fight Factory is the most competition oriented muay thai school in the Granada area. It was founded in 2008 by Borja Alvarez, who still leads the coaching, and the club has sent fighters to compete in England, Portugal, China, Thailand, Mexico and Australia. The school holds a recognition seal from the Thai government and the Thai Ministry of Sports and Culture, one of a small number of Spanish clubs to do so.
Training is genuinely tiered. Beginners get their own adult class rather than being dropped into the competition session, and there is a separate elite group for people preparing to fight. Private and small group classes are available with any of the coaches if you want personalised work or are only in town briefly. Alongside muay thai the school runs boxing, Krav Maga, self defence, yoga and pilates, so expect a broad martial arts and fitness centre rather than a pure thai boxing camp.
One practical note for visitors: the gym is in Armilla, not central Granada. It is roughly five kilometres from the cathedral, but the tram stops directly outside, which makes it straightforward to reach without a car. Membership is charged monthly and there is a one off signup fee of 25 euros on top of the first month, so factor that in for a short stay.
