About the Gym
Structure works as follows: beginner courses (€110 standard, €80 for students/unemployed) teach the core attack and defense techniques across 20 sessions, three times per week (Monday 8:30 PM, Friday 6:30 PM, Sunday 1:00 PM). After completing the beginner course, members continue in the advanced group at €50/month or €200 per 6-month season, training Tuesday/Thursday 19:15, Saturday 13:00, and Sunday 11:30. The competition group meets Fridays for sparring and clinching technique. Membership at King of the Ring also includes use of the Helsinki Ju-jutsu Club's gym for independent training (subject to space and modest additional fee for joining the Ju-jutsu side). Payment options are notably flexible: bank transfer, Smartum, Edenred, ePassi, Virike vouchers, and cash all accepted. The Cable Factory location is centrally accessible with multiple bus routes serving Ruoholahti. For practitioners who prefer structured progression with clear cohort-based entry points rather than open enrollment, King of the Ring offers a distinct model in the Helsinki market.

Head Coach
Ville Kivipelto
Ville Kivipelto serves as club chairman and is the primary contact for new trainees. The coaching team also includes Jari Hirvasvuopio, Ari Pitkänen, Eeva Pohto, and Giuseppe Ram. The club operates as a registered association (ry) and is partnered with Muay Tribe — suggesting technical alignment with Antero Hynynen's Finnish Muay Thai lineage. Specific competitive credentials for individual coaches are not detailed publicly; the institutional emphasis is on structured beginner pathways rather than profiled individual coaching figures.
