About the Gym
JC Fight Team is a martial arts school in the south of Madrid (Carabanchel) whose identity rests on real competitive experience. Founder Julio César Alves 'Girino', born in Rio de Janeiro, is one of the few active professional MMA competitors actually teaching the discipline in Spain — 26 pro fights and a 16-10 record — and the gym argues, fairly, that being coached by someone who genuinely competes raises the quality of instruction. For BJJ, Julio trained under Mathias Ribeiro, a respected name on the national scene.
While MMA and BJJ are the core, the school offers a genuinely broad program: muay thai, boxing, K1 (adults and children), grappling, wrestling, kids' BJJ and more, with a free first class. Members describe well-prepared, varied sessions and instructors who are approachable and professional. If you want pure muay thai, this is more of an all-round combat-sports academy than a specialist Thai boxing gym — muay thai and boxing run a few mornings and evenings a week — but for striking plus grappling under a genuinely experienced fighter, it's a strong, credible option.

Julio César Alves 'Girino', born in Rio de Janeiro, is an active professional MMA fighter with a 16-10 record across 26 pro fights — one of the few genuinely competing MMA instructors teaching in Spain. He trained in BJJ under Mathias Ribeiro and founded JC Fight Team to bring real competitive experience to his teaching.
