Jai Su
Mallorca

Jai Su isn't in Palma but in Muro, in the northern interior of Mallorca, and that's no accident. The gym was deliberately built as an open-air training space in Thai style - ring, heavy bags, palm trees, no walls. It's the closest thing to an authentic Thai camp you'll find on the island. What truly sets this address apart is the coach. Pedro Torres won the WMF European Championship in the 63.5 kg category in 2011, took the AITMA World Championship in Ayutthaya in 2012, and won the King of Thailand's Birthday Tournament in Phuket in 2014 - three verified international titles, all earned in Thailand itself. He still competes professionally and has trained at Sasiprapa, one of the most respected gyms in Bangkok. For anyone on Mallorca looking for instruction from someone who has actually fought at the highest level, this is the place.

About the Gym

Jai Su attracts a mixed crowd: local students, fighters preparing seriously for competition, and visitors who want to keep training during their vacation. Reviews consistently confirm a warm, family-like atmosphere - several reviewers explicitly compare the place to Thailand itself. Pedro speaks Spanish and English, and instruction is often available in German, French, or Italian as well. Beyond regular classes, there's a Muay Thai & Fitness Camp combining a six-night stay with two daily training sessions plus beach and conditioning work - relevant for anyone coming to the island with training as the primary goal. One honest note: the Muro location means a 45-minute drive from Palma. For anyone living or staying closer to the city, the Palma gyms are more practical. But for the authentic open-air feel under a world champion, the drive justifies itself.

Head Coach & World Champion

Pedro Torres (Palma de Mallorca, 1989) is a professional Thai boxer and the founder of Jai Su. He began training as a child with his father and joined a Muay Thai gym at eighteen. In 2011 he became WMF European Champion (63.5 kg), in 2012 AITMA World Champion in Ayutthaya, and in 2014 he won the prestigious King's Birthday Tournament in Phuket (67 kg). He has trained at top gyms in Thailand including Sasiprapa, sparring with international fighters such as Rungrave Sasiprapa, Boo Saengathit, and Fabio Pinca. After winning his world title, he decided to open his own gym to pass on everything he had learned in Thailand.
