Sensei Gym Muay Thai y tienda de artes marciales
Mallorca

Sensei Gym is one of the longer-established Muay Thai addresses on the island, and that shows in the coaching. Arturo Fernández is named by students as a pioneer of the sport on Mallorca - he started with Judo and Karate, transitioned through Japanese kickboxing into Muay Thai, and traveled to Thailand when the country was still largely uncharted territory for foreign fighters. His co-coach Amalia García may have an even more interesting record: multiple podium finishes at the WMF World Amateur Championship in Thailand, three titles across the AITMA tournaments in both PRO-AM and professional divisions, and two professional titles at the Queen's Birthday Tournament - a competition that carries genuine prestige in Thailand. She has also completed her Muay Thai Instructor training at the Muay Thai Institute in Rangsit and has taught at that same institute.

About the Gym

The class structure is built around two parallel groups (Sensei Team and Samay Mai) that students choose between, plus private lessons by appointment. Classes run about an hour, opening with a 20-minute warmup (jump rope or functional conditioning) and moving into varied technical work - padwork, sparring, bag work, or technique class. The gym also sells its own equipment imported directly from Thailand, which reviews single out for quality and price. Sensei Gym explicitly caters to all ages including children, and counts both hobbyists and competitive fighters in its membership. The Thai connection of both coaches - regular return trips for their own training - translates into classes where the traditions and terminology of Muay Thai are taken seriously. For anyone living in or staying long-term in Palma who wants quality technical instruction from coaches with a verifiable competitive past, this is a strong option.
