Bushido is a community-driven MMA and BJJ gym in Retreat, in the south of Cape Town, built around Coach Zain — a BJJ brown belt (affiliated with Aguia Dourada and Fight Fit Militia) and an experienced Muay Thai and kickboxing practitioner who has trained and fought abroad, graduating from Phuket Top Team. The gym's emphasis is firmly on family, respect and no egos, and reviewers — including beginners, parents and an expat from France — describe a genuinely welcoming home for martial arts. It offers BJJ, Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, MMA and HIIT.
