About the Gym

Sitjemam sits in the countryside north of Pai, about ten minutes by scooter from the walking street, and runs as a proper camp rather than a drop-in gym. Training is two hours in the morning and two in the afternoon, Monday to Saturday, with an optional 7:30 run, and the groups are kept small so that first-timers are not thrown in with fighters. Head trainer Kru Yai Joe came from the Yokkao Saenchai team in Bangkok; co-founder Mam is an A-License grandmaster and international referee, which makes this one of the few camps in the north where women can train with a female coach. The gym also teaches Muay Boran and offers private sessions. Weekly and monthly packages include a fan or air-con room on site, gloves and shin pads for the length of your stay, and free pick-up from town. The gym stays open outside class hours for anyone who wants extra bag time.

Class Schedule

  • Mon to Sat, 8:00 to 10:00 and 16:00 to 18:00, optional run at 7:30. Sunday is a rest day. Gym open outside class hours.

For exact class times, check the gym's website or app.
