About the Gym
Ronnie Najjar is one of the few coaches in San Diego with verifiable elite-level Muay Thai fight experience — a 24-fight professional career, a former WMC Cruiserweight #3 ranking, and decades of teaching across over 30 countries. His coaching system synthesizes what he learned from competing at the top of the Australian Muay Thai scene with global teaching experience.
8Tribe deliberately keeps class sizes small. The training is structured: technical work on stance, strikes, defense, footwork in the first half, followed by pad work, clinch, and controlled sparring in the second. Newer students follow modified drills; experienced fighters progress to advanced training. There is no contract and no joining fee.
Classes run weekdays only (Mon-Fri 5:30-7pm). Private training is available by appointment. The gym is housed inside Self Made Training Facility, a shared training space in the Midway District. Pricing is straightforward: $35 trial for new local students, $50 drop-in, $300/month unlimited.
